I used to work for one of our customers and knew that, should an opportunity to join CDK Global come up, I would jump at the chance. I liked the products, and I liked the people I built relationships with – the reality is even better.
I joined the Support team as an Analyst and have watched the products I knew well and worked with every day transform over the last few years.
I love that I get to use my analytical and problem solving skills on a daily basis, and that there are lots of opportunities for me to develop and progress within the company.
Last year I travelled to South Africa to spend a week working with the team there. I’d never met any of them before but was given an incredible CDK welcome and one of the guys even took me on Safari at the end of the week. That’s the thing about this business, it’s full of fantastic people whether they have been here 30 years or 30 minutes. I look forward to many more years here furthering my career.
I’ve spent my entire career in the automotive industry, working for various competitor organisations before joining CDK a little over ten years ago as an Account Manager.
What’s kept me here? Quite simply, the work.
I thrive on new experiences and opportunities, and at CDK it’s an endless learning journey. I’m now Director of International Manufacturer Relations, and responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with some of the biggest automotive brand names. This means working directly with senior leaders to understand their requirements, and ensuring that we can deliver the products and services they need to meet their strategic objectives – and ours.
It’s a challenging role, but a role that gives me great exposure to the automotive industry and how our products are helping to shape the future of the car buying experience for some of the world’s largest automotive brands.
I came to the UK to study at the University of Leicester after completing a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering back home in India.
I’d never heard of CDK Global (or Hungerford!) but am so glad I took the time to learn more about the company and when I saw a role advertised online and even more delighted when I was offered the job.
My first impressions can be summed up with one word - ‘amazing’. From the way I was introduced to the business and the wonderful people I met, to the opportunities I was given to learn and develop from day one. I couldn’t believe it when, just six months into my role as a Quality Assurance Analyst, I was offered an additional role as a Scrum Master.
I have loved learning Scrum values, practices and rules, and building a productive high performing team. I ultimately want to work as a Project Manager and so this experience has been a wonderful stepping stone for me. I feel s supported to achieve my career goals at CDK and cannot wait for what the future holds.
In my first role at CDK Global I travelled around Italy meeting and training customers on our Dealer Management System. Today as a Director of Product Management I get to travel the world.
Whilst I’m still based in Italy I spend much of my time at our Hungerford HQ, and out meeting my colleagues in other markets, understanding the needs of our International customers.
It’s a challenging role, but incredibly fulfilling as the automotive and technology landscape is evolving rapidly which means nothing stays still for long. We’re committed to developing products and services that provide our customers with priceless insight into the customer of the future, and I’m excited to be part of that journey.
